Latest NewsOn June 14 the IRS released a draft of a major revision of the Form 990. The new 990 draft proposes significant changes to the ways in which exempt organizations will report information on finances, fundraising activities, governance, executive and board compensation, and program services. The IRS is asking for comments by September 14. APVOFM will be commenting on the report and asks that members share their comments and concerns with us so that we may incorporate your concerns into our letter. It is critical that we provide thoughtful feedback on the draft to ensure that any new form is useful and relevant for our own organizations, for government officials responsible for oversight and enforcement, and for the public at large. Please send your comments to info@apvofm.org.
